Colchester-based Colne Estuary Preserved Buses (CEPB) is a group of enthusiasts who own, restore and maintain heritage buses and coaches. Each vehicle has links to the owner’s interests. Group members and their friends and families often assist each other with knowledge and vehicle maintenance. This website provides information about our vehicles and their histories. The Suffolk Bus Preservation Group (SBPG) are part of CEPB dedicated to preserving Suffolk-based buses.

CLACTON BUS RALLY IS TAKING A BREAK DUE TO LACK OF ORGANISERS. WE ARE SUPPORTING ESSEX BUS RALLY AT BARLEYLANDS IN JULY
Attendance at the listed events depends on vehicle owners' interests and vehicle serviceability. We haven't decided which of these we're attending just yet, so check back regularly! This list will be updated as dates and attendances are confirmed. Events organised by CEPB are in red. As well as rallies, we've listed local operator running days that might interest local enthusiasts!
17 Mar: Museum Reopening Day, Ipswich Transport Museum, Suffolk.
28 Apr: National "Drive it" Day, Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs.
5 May: Ipswich to Felixstowe Road Run, Vehicles assemble at Christchurch Park, Ipswich from 8.30 to 10.30am. The run starts at 11am arriving at Felixstowe Promenade from 12 noon.
11-12 May: "50s Seaside Celebration", East Anglia Transport Museum, near Lowestoft, Suffolk.
18-19 May: Rydabus, Island Buses Running Day based at Bus & Coach Museum, Ryde, Isle of Wight.
8 – 9 June 2019, Aldham Old Time Rally White Colne, Nr Colchester (just off the A1124)
23 June: The Lawn Motor Show, Rochford, Essex.
14 July: Peterborough Bus & Commercial Vehicle Rally, Sacrewell Farm (A47/A1 junction). All buses and commercials welcome. Free entry. Cambs.
14 July: Haverhill Historic Transport Rally & Road Run, Arts Centre Car Park, Haverhill, Suffolk.
20 July: Alton Bristol RE and Country Pub Running Day. Hants & Surrey RE Group.
21 July: Alton Bus Rally & Running Day, Anstey Park, Alton. Free entry and free bus services. Around 150 buses & coaches expected & large display of other vehicles. Hants.
21 July: Ingatestone Hall Classic Car Show, Ingatestone, near Chelmsford, Essex CM4 9NR.
27 July: Essex Bus Rally (formerly Basildon Bus Rally), in association with The Londoner in the Country. Barleylands Farm Park, Billericay. Incorporates Visions International's "The Londoner in the Country" show. Free parking and free bus rides. Essex.
28 July: Worthing Sea Front Bus Gathering & Running Day, Worthing, West Sussex.
11 August Fordham Vehicle Show, Mill Road (behind Fordham Primary School), Fordham, Colchester
1 Sept; Horsham Bus Rally, Hop Oast Park & Ride.
29 Sept: SHOWBUS International, Hertfordshire County Showground, Redbourn, Herts.
12-13 Oct: Isle of Wight Classic Buses, Beer & Walks Weekend, based at the Isle of Wight Bus Museum, Ryde and also Newport Quay, Newport.
27 Oct: Bristol Vintage Bus Group Autumn Mini Running Day based at Flowers Hill, Brislington.
